Vimab new service partner in Sweden for valves in extreme conditions

4 May 2023

Vimab has been appointed Preferred Service Partner in Sweden by IMI Critical Engineering, one of the world's largest manufacturers of valves for demanding applications.

This means that all of IMI's Swedish customers will be referred to Vimab for service work. Vimab has already collaborated with IMI on several international service assignments, including in Uzbekistan and Mexico last year.

IMI Critical Engineering, based in the UK, manufactures high-pressure, high-temperature process equipment used in the production of pulp, oil, natural gas, hydrogen or other energy production. These types of processes place high demands on the equipment.

? The appointment means that Vimab is the company we will recommend first and foremost to customers who need service for our products," says Arjan Jacobs, Area Sales Manager for the Nordic and Baltic countries at IMI Critical Engineering.

? We chose Vimab because it covers the whole of Sweden ? not many do, most service companies in the industry are locally based. Vimab also has a good reputation in the market.

Vimab is Sweden's largest provider of valve services and works in industries such as the pulp and paper industry, chemical industry, power plants and more. The company has a presence in five locations, with its head office in Motala, and has around 100 employees.

IMI Critical Engineering products are used to control the flow of steam, gas and liquids in harsh operating environments. They are designed to withstand very high temperatures and pressures, intense abrasion and corrosive conditions. The company has over 750,000 valves installed in critical industrial plants and processes worldwide and are experts in operating potentially hazardous processes safely and efficiently and with minimum environmental impact.

IMI Critical Engineering's product portfolio includes several brands that are well recognised in the process industry, such as CCI, Bopp & Reuther, Zimmerman & Jansen, TH Jansen, Remosa, BPM, Orton, STI and Truflo.
